Bicycles & Network

In Voeren you can now also cycle leisurely via the cycle route network. This way you can cycle from node to node via a simple system. The cycle route network of Voeren connects perfectly with the network of Belgian and Dutch Limburg as well as the province of Liège. Anyone who cycles to the east in the Voer region can expect some serious calf bites.

Flat road & Maas

For cyclists who want to leave the hills behind, a trip along the Meuse can be very invigorating. This way you can take a look across the border with the Netherlands: with the ferry in Eijsden (NL) you will be on the other side of the Maas in no time.

Mountainbike network

With the new, varied Euregio mountain bike network, both novice and more experienced mountain bikers can indulge themselves. This new network fits perfectly within Limburg as the cycling province par excellence. It takes you past beautiful orchards, forest paths and sunken roads.

Bicycle regulations

Some rules to enjoy the bike ride with respect for the inhabitants and nature, so that everyone is happy again!

Fietser zwaait goedendag

Only cycle where permitted and give nature and residents space. The Voer region is not a race track, so adjust your speed! Warn other road users temporarily and kindly.

Fietser in heuvelachtige omgeving

Cycling side by side is strictly prohibited throughout Europe and can cause life-threatening situations on the narrow roads of Voeren. Try to keep to the right as much as possible and do not hinder other traffic by cycling next to each other!

Fietser man met dochter achterop

Approach walkers or other users at a walking pace, be friendly, give each other space and slow down in time, this prevents conflicts and irritation of other road users

Interreg project Cycling Connects

Cycling Connects connects 3 countries with 1 cycling experience: a special network of cycling routes through the Euregio Meuse-Rhine with a diversity of languages, cultures and landscapes. A consortium of 12 partners from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany is working together to improve the infrastructure in the area, to connect the various international cycling routes and to optimally facilitate cyclists with more comfort, safety and information. This project is realized thanks to the support of Interreg - European Regional Development Fund - Euregio Meuse-Rhine and the province of Limburg.
